The Fohn Festival, located on Green Square, June 30^th & July 1^st, is Hinton’s “Signature Event.” The festival promotes public awareness, understanding and appreciation of the cultural diversity in Hinton. Starting in 2007, the event captured the attention of 2,700 visitors, and has grown into an exciting day and a half full of entertainment, food and fun with approximately 8,000 in attendance in 2011.

The Fohn has fostered the spirit of the community with amazing entertainers that provide continuous music and dance for all to enjoy. Fabulous cultural vendors that share their ethnic food, dress and customs allowing you to experience the world. Our Kid Zone which is growing each year, captures the innocence of our youth through balloons, face painting, crafts and games. The Fohn Festival offers something for everyone. It is a time for families, friends, and neighbors to be together.

The planning committee is very excited for 2012 and would like to express their gratitude to the many sponsors, volunteers and participants that come back every year making the Fohn Festival the huge success that it is.
